Soy Sauce Chicken 1




Soy Sauce Chicken is one of my favorite chicken recipes. This recipe is originally from Northern China. The main ingredient for this recipe is of course soy sauce and chicken. Soy Sauce is made from fermented Soya beans and widely popular in the Far East

Actually, this recipes is not the original Soy Sauce Chicken that are available in Northern China, this recipes had been adjusted according to Malaysian taste. But I am sure that you will like it.

This recipe is best served with hot steamed rice.


Ingredients

- 6 Pieces of chicken with bones (recommended)

- 1/2 Spoon of black pepper

- 1/2 Spoon of curry powder

- 2.5cm of ginger

- 2 Cloves of garlic

- 2 Big onions (cut into ring shape)

- 1 Spoon of thick soy sauce

- 1 Spoon of tomato ketchup

- 2 Spoons of vegetable cooking oil

- 1 Spoon of ghee

- 1 Chicken cubes

- 5 Spoons of peas beans

- 1 Potato cut into small wedges

- Salt



Method

- Blend the black pepper, curry powder, ginger, garlic.

- Marinate the chicken with all the blended items and oil and leave it for about 5 minutes.

- Put the marinated chicken into a hot cooking pot and cook it for about 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked.

- Put the rest of the ingredients and let the potato wedges and peas are cook.

- Put under the medium heat for about 10 minutes.

- Season with salt



Tips

- Best served with white steamed rice

- After you put the peas beans and potato wedges, try avoid to stirring the chicken too much to avoid the potato and peas bean mashed.

- Other tips that I would like to share is to fry the potato wedges before put it together with the dishes. It taste better.
