Baked Chicken With Peas And Pasta



Baked Chicken with Chicken and Pasta is one of my favorite recipes that I made so many times especially on summer. It’s tasted like lasagna but with less cheese. This recipe uses pastas and chicken breast as the main ingredients. The herbs makes the recipes more yummy! Hope you will love it. Have a try!



Ingredients



- 1 ˝ tablespoons of olive oil

- 300g or 10oz of dried pasta shells or other pasta shapes

- 250g or 8oz of cooked chicken breast that had been sliced into strips

- 125g or 4oz of fresh shelled peas

- 1 number of garlic clove, crushed

- 2 tablespoons of torn basil leaves

- 1 tablespoons of chopped thymes

- 3 tablespoons of chopped parsley

- ˝ small red pepper that had been cored, deseed and chopped

- 50g or 2ox of fresh grated Parmesan cheese

- Salt and pepper for taste

- Basil sprigs to garnish



Methods



- Bring a large pan of water to the boil.

- Add ˝ tablespoons of the oil and a pinch of salt.

- Cook the pasta shells or your desired pasta shaped for about 8-12 minutes until Al dente.

- Heat the remaining oil in a large frying pan.

- Add the chicken and sauté gently for about 2 minutes.

- Stir in the peas, garlic, basic, thyme, parsley, and red pepper and cook by stirring the ingredient for about 2 minutes.

- Pour the chicken mixture into a large greased ovenproof dish.

- Add the pasta shells and season with salt and pepper and toss it well so that he ingredients will mix properly.

- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and bake it in a preheated oven 200 degree Celsius or 400 degree F, or gas mark 6 for 20 minutes.

- Garnish with basil sprig and serve immediately.
